The festival features hundreds of films from around the world for the young audience. The hourly screenings feature animated and live-action films for the 13+ age group.

Our Panorama programme includes the most outstanding and award-winning international feature films. The multi-award winning anime The Colors Within will be screened only on Cinemira. The Canadian film I Like Movies, which competed at the Toronto International Film Festival, will be screened in Hungarian cinemas for the first time, just like the Danish documentary Can’t Feel Nothing about internet addiction. Furthermore, there will be a screening and Q&A of the Hungarian film Lesson Learned (Fekete pont), which has just won three awards at Locarno Film Festival.

Young people interested in filmmaking can meet award-winning Hungarian filmmakers Gábor Reisz, Bálint Szimler and Viktoria Traub. Makers of the Azahriah film will also be there at Cinemira, as well as Izabella Mazzag, who directed many video clips for Krúbi, furthermore you can meet Balázs Lévai producer. Our guest will be Orsolya Petrilla mask and make-up artist, Andrea Steinhauser casting director, who will have a real film casting for young people at the festival.

Our motto: Watch films and create! That’s why we’re offering a wide range of interactive activities for young people, including workshops in manga drawing, LEGO animation, graphology, drawing on real 35mm film, professional film make-up, and green screen photos in a film background throughout the festival.
