
Nora Lakos
Festival Director
Nóra Lakos is dedicated to the revival of films made for young audiences in Hungary. To support this mission, she founded the country’s first film festival specifically focused on children’s and youth cinema: the Cinemira International Children’s and Youth Film Festival. Nóra is a screenwriter, director, and producer — she wrote and directed, among others, Hab and I Accidentally Wrote a Book. She is a board member of the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA). More than ten years ago she founded Cinemira Children’s Film Academy, where children and youth aged 8–18 can learn filmmaking during the school year.

Katalin Banai
Festival Coordinator
Katalin Banai has been working as a coordinator and project manager at the Cinemira International Children’s and Youth Film Festival since its founding. She is responsible for coordinating the festival’s programs and its school outreach initiatives, and she is also involved in financial management.

Gyorgy Somogyi
Film Programmer
György Somogyi is a screenwriter and an instructor at the Cinemira Children's Film Academy. He is credited with numerous award-winning TV films, short films, and series. He also writes comic books, including the popular Kittenberger series, which has twice won the Comic of the Year award.

Marcell Furedi
Film Programmer
Marcell Füredi is a member of our visual communications team and an instructor at the Cinemira Children’s Film Academy. He works as a cinematographer on short films, documentaries, and commercials. He has also completed stunt training and leads movement and stunt workshops for young people.

Karoly Ascher
Film Programmer
Károly Ascher is the coordinator of the Cinemira Video Competition and Student Film Competition, and a member of the festival’s visual communications team. He is also an instructor at the Cinemira Children’s Film Academy. Károly is a film director who works in casting for feature films and short films.

Balint Horvath
Communications Manager
Balint Horváth is a Hungarian film journalist and a freelance cultural writer.

Aida Kavalecz
Social Media Specialist
Aida Kavalecz is a communications expert, currently a freelance social media specialist, strategist and copywriter in the fields of innovation, film, retail and education. After gaining experience at advertising agencies, multinational companies and domestic SMEs, she switched to freelance, in addition to long-term jobs, she also holds workshops and consultations on communication topics.

Diána Berényi
Professional Program Coordinator
Diána Berényi is a PR and communications expert, she has been working for more than 15 years in the field of media regulation. In connection with her field of expertise - film support, protection of minors and media literacy – she mainly organised comunication campaigns and film festivals. Diana is also a communications consultant and production manager of several animation film companies.

Bori Bujdosó
Communications Coordinator
Bori Bujdosó is responsible for Cinemira’s press coverage and the organization of our film programs. She is a freelance journalist, script supervisor, translator and curator of Europa Pont film clubs. Previously, she worked as a project manager on several EU projects with an artistic focus. She holds a degree in social psychology.

Hanna Solti
Copywriter
Hanna Solti is a journalist, podcaster and copywriter. For over a decade, she has been engaged with national and international issues and is committed to matters of social justice and culture. In her writing and shows, she advocates for open, honest, sensitive and thought-provoking conversations — which is why she gladly joined the Cinemira team.
