Noy Levin

Noy Levin is an artistic director, director, writer, and lecturer specializing in children's cinema. She graduated from the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. She previously held the position of Artistic Director at the Tel Aviv International Children's Film Festival in Israel. A passionate storyteller, Noy has directed and written several short films and children's plays, in addition to curating cultural events. She is a dedicated advocate for cultural education for children.

Eszter Angyalosy

Writer, scriptwriter
As a dramaturg she works on foreign and Hungarian series and feature films. She is a founding member of Joyrider, an international series development workshop. Co-directed with Daniel Szőke, her short film The Last Chance won the Cinemira TEEN Award for Best Hungarian Youth Short Film in 2023.

Marta Jodko

festival programmer, festival coordinator
Marta Jodko studied Art History at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She has been working as a programmer at the International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino!, Biennial Art for Children, and the Children part of the Animated Film Festival Animator since 2010. Since 2022, she has been the main coordinator of the International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! and a board member of ECFA.

Eszter Szoboszlay

director
She has been directing animated short films since 2006, produced by Kecskemétfilm Ltd. Her films give insight into children's thinking, into spaces, heads, boxes, living spaces that are interesting for her. Some of the films are self-written, others are inspired by literary works. Most recently, she worked as director on the animated series Gypsy Tales. She is also active as an artist, participating in group exhibitions, illustrating children's books and teaching art and graphic design. In 2023, she won the Cinemira Pitch Forum with his animation project Encounters (Találkozások), which she is currently working on.

Remke Oosterhuis

Remke Oosterhuis has a love for films, theatre, dance, art, children’s books and for the way children play. She worked for different film companies before starting Taartrovers in 2003 together with others. Taartrovers wants to inspire children to keep on using their imagination, to never stop playing and to give children the tools to create their own stories. Taartrovers started a Film Festival in 2005 and has a special focus to create film programs and installations for very young children aged 2 till 6 years old. Furthermore, they create art installations, workshops, film labs and artistic concepts for museums, festivals, schools, theatres, and other organizations.

Judit Czakó

Editor
Judit Czakó has been teaching film editing from a practical and dramaturgical point of view at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design since 2004. She was awarded the Golden Scissors Award for Best Editing at the Hungarian Film Festival (Magyar Filmszemle) in 2007, 2010 and 2011. In 2011, she won the Best Animated Film Editing Award at the Kecskemét Animation Film Festival for Orsolya by Szederkényi Bella, and the Best Editor Award at the 2nd Hungarian Film Week for Liza, the Fox-Fairy. She worked on the animated sci-fi White Plastic Sky, animated short Symbiosis, as well as Golden Life and Therapy series, among others.

Károly Ascher

Teacher, Filmmaker
Karoly Ascher has a degree in film and animation. He is a teacher at the Children's Film Academy and works in filmmaking and casting.

György Somogyi

Screenwriter
Gyorgy Somogyi is a Hungarian screenwriter and also a member of the Children's Film Academy. Gyorgy created tv films, award winning shorts and also a very popular comic book called Kittenberger.

Klári Trencsényi

documentary filmmaker
She has been working in documentary filmmaking since 2004, in foreign and national productions as well, and is committed to auteur documentary. Her first feature-length documentary, Train to Adulthood (Reményvasút), won the DokLeipzig Golden Dove Award; her second film, The Missing Tale (Emlékek őrzői), is currently in the festival circuit. Since 2006, she has participated in several major international documentary filmmaking workshops and pitches (Archidoc, IDFA Summer School, EsoDoc, A Sunday in the Country, Berlinale Talent Campus, ZagrebDox). Since 2010, she has been teaching documentary and participatory filmmaking courses. She is a founding member of the DunaDOCK documentary promotion and development team, which has been active since 2013.

Jo-Anne Bouline

artistic Director of the Montreal International Children's Film Festival
At the age of 16, Jo-Anne Blouin began working in theatre for children, and embarked in the heady world of creating collective works for children’s theatre. From theatre, she moved to film for children and created the Montreal International Children’s Film Festival (FIFEM). She still acts as CEO and artistic director of the festival that will hold its 28th edition in March 2025. From 1998 to 2008, she was CIFEJ’s Executive director, where she created the Kids For Kids Festival. She programs her festival and attends several other international events each year. She believes children should have access to films from many cultures. In 2017, she was nominated Honorary Member of the European Children Film Association (ECFA), and in 2018 received an Honorary Award from Schlingel festival (Germany).

Clara Huber-Saulich

Clara studied German Literature and Film Studies in Vienna and Zurich. Being in love with the movies since her early childhood she approached the medium Film from different angles working at a children’s film production company, a film distributor and falling for festival work at the Berlinale Generation. She finally landed cineasticly at WIENXTRA-Cinemagic, Arthouse cinema for children and young people in Vienna. In this framework she organized the youth film festival GAFFA and supports the team of Vienna‘s International Children’s Film Festival. Being responsible for film education Clara curates the Cinemagic-cinema program, welcomes guests for audience film talks and holds filmrelated workshops for 5 to 18 year olds. Together with her colleague she is regularly blogging about Children’s and Youth film. In a nutshell she always goes with Ewan McGregor‘s quote: „I just love stories“

Attila Szász

director
After a successful career as an award-winning commercial director, Hungarian filmmaker Attila Szász has made a name for himself at the helm of critically acclaimed period dramas including the noirish post-WWII thriller Tall Tales, the romantic World War II drama Eternal Winter, the 1910s erotic psycho-drama Demimonde, and the 1950s political thriller The Ambassador to Bern. His films have collectively garnered over 100 awards including an International Emmy. He is currently working on the ten-hour medieval series Rise of the Raven, one of the most epic Central European television productions to date.

YOUTH ANIMATION JURY

Ádám Felszeghy

Ádám Felszeghy graduated from ELTE in Film Theory and History in 2011. He has worked with Discovery Velocity, TV5 and ITV and has produced documentaries and short films since 2018. He is currently a producer of Umbrella/Ulab. As a producer, he has worked on several feature-length films, including László Csáki's Blue Pelican, Hungary's first feature-length animated documentary, made with the support of the NFI Incubator Programme. His producer works include Ádám Breier's feature film, The Lefkovices Are Mourning, and The First Two, directed by Balázs Szövényi-Lux. In 2021, he won the Cinemira Pitch Forum Grand Prize for his animated series Roboék.

Kati Glaser

Director
Katalin Glaser graduated from MOME in 2003 with a degree in animation, visual environment culture and teaching. In 2007, she studied graphic design at the Athens University of Fine Arts under the Erasmus programme. She has been teaching at MOME since 2009. Since 2001 she has participated in several group exhibitions. Since 2013, she has created three seasons of Urban Legends, which has been made into a TV film version as well.

Filip Diviak

Director
Filip Diviak is a Slovak director and animator who studied animation at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic. He primarily focuses on hand-drawn animation but also works partly as an illustrator and character and environment designer. In 2021, he co-founded the animation studio Tri Pirogy, based in Zlín, along with other animators. His main interest lies in telling stories on important social topics through the eyes of children—innocently, gently, imaginatively, and playfully.
