At the Cinemira KIDS International Children’s Film Festival, we screen the world’s most outstanding short films and feature films for children aged three to twelve and their families. Alongside award-winning children’s films, you can enjoy concerts, a stunt show, a film animal trainer demonstration, a dubbing workshop, film casting, face painting, a film dance workshop, music video shooting, splatter painting, and many more exciting activities!

Cinemira KIDS is the only film festival in Hungary specifically aimed at children. This unique family event allows children to explore different cultures through films and try out various aspects of filmmaking. At Cinemira KIDS, we invite you to participate in these programs:
Film Programs: Hourly screenings feature films exclusively shown at Cinemira, such as the animated film about Frida Kahlo’s childhood; a short animal animation compilation titled Capybaras and Other Creatures, suitable for children aged six and up; and Animal Adventures, ideal as a first cinema experience for children as young as three. Also exclusively at Cinemira KIDS, you can see a children’s film by the legendary French director Michel Gondry—known for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind—which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival: Maya, Give Me a Title!, made for his daughter.
Film Show Programs: At Cinemira KIDS, you can discover various areas of filmmaking. Meet film animal trainers and animal stars, attend a real stunt show, and try your hand at our stunt workshop! At the Secrets of Dubbing session, meet the voices behind Lilo, Smurfette, Belhangos, and Natalie, and try dubbing yourself in the dubbing workshop! If you love gastronomy and films, visit our Magical Film Kitchen program, where you can learn about the work of a film food stylist and taste the Cinemira cake, created by master chefs from Sugár Shop. Want to become a film actor? Sign up for the Cinemira Casting and appear in films and series!
Our Motto: Watch and Create! Participate in various film workshops, including film choreography, the Magical Creature Disco, cake decorating, Korean decorative folding, and jewelry-making from old DVDs!
No matter which Cinemira KIDS program you attend, you can take part in interactive activities such as face painting, splatter painting, creating your own animated film, or dressing up in film costumes!
