If you’re under 20, glued to your phone, have one (or more) great ideas and you’re passionate about filmmaking, Cinemira’s Video Contest is for you. Create a film of up to 1.5 minutes, and show us what you’ve got!

Every participant will receive feedback from our professional jury. Winning films will be screened at Cinemira International Kids’ and Youth Film Festival on October 19th at Cinema City Mammut. In addition to the screening, creators of the best films will be gifted exciting film-related prizes (free camera and drone rental, Cinema City VIP tickets, cinema tickets for two, concert tickets, the latest LEGO sets and LUSH gift packages).

You can submit your films in three categories:

1. Freedom – What does freedom mean to you? Let your imagination soar high!
2. Music Video – Show us the emotions your favorite music brings out in you!
3. Poetry Film – Bring your favorite poem to life – or write your own and turn it into a film!

Participants may choose from poetry collections recommended by our partners, Pagony Publishing and Magvető Publishing – they may also freely select poems from other books, or even submit their own.

You can enter solo or as a team, with multiple films and in more than one category!

The films will be evaluated by a professional jury: Péter Puskás-Dallos – singer, actor, television presenter; Jázmin Hollósi – digital content creator; Izabella Mazzag – director; Benedek Lampert – photographer; Virág Erdős – poet; Hanna Győri – editor, Pagony Publishing.

Rules

One applicant may enter multiple categories, provided that they submit a video appropriate to the content requirements of each category. However, an applicant may submit or appear in a maximum of three videos per category. Entries submitted after the specified deadline cannot be accepted. All submissions will be evaluated by a professional jury based on both objective and subjective criteria. The jury’s decision is final and cannot be changed once the results are announced. By submitting a film, each creator declares that the submitted work is their own original creation, that the personal rights of the individuals appearing in the film are not violated, and that only individuals who have given their consent and actively contributed to the project appear in the film as creators or performers. All related legal responsibilities lie with the person submitting the entry. By submitting their work, the applicant agrees that their film may be screened at Cinemira International Children’s and Youth Film Festival. In addition, they consent to the use of the submitted video by the Organizer or a third party authorized by the Organizer, for promotional materials and on the Organizer’s website, free of charge and without limitations. By sending the video, the applicant also consents to the publication of their name and the submitted video on Cinemira’s Facebook and Instagram sites, promotional websites, publications, and those of its partners, including their websites, social media platforms, and other media.
