Cinemira Children’s and Youth Film Festival was recently honored to join the international research program of the European Children’s Film Festival Network. With the support of Creative Europe MEDIA. Prestigious children’s film festivals of seven countries take part in a special research program with the goal of creating short film packages together. Cinemira will bring the packages free of use to Hungarian elementary schools in the 7-10 years old and the 11-14 years old age groups. The selected short films deal with topics and problems in the daily life of children and teenagers. Teachers in Hungary will be able to use the free film packages in class during the first semester of the 2023/2024 school year.

In May of 2023, Cinemira launched a national survey in Hungary for elementary school teachers in order to determine the most useful topics and themes for the packages according to the insight of the teachers. At the national level, more than 400 schools joined the research. Cinemira will also provide education supplement materials for the needs of the elementary teachers and the children based on the outcome of research.
